Data requests

Approve or decline account deletions customers asked for, see their data exports, and set the waiting time and backup retention.

Customers can download their personal data and ask to delete their account under Your data. A deletion waits so they can change their mind; then you approve it here — a final backup is always made first.

Where: Server Admin › Support › Data requests (resellers: Reseller Panel › Support › Data requests, for their own customers)

Decide on a deletion

The Deletions table lists the deletions still waiting and the ones to approve:

  1. When the status is to approve, click Approve and confirm. The panel makes a final backup of the account, then deletes it the same way as Accounts › Delete. If the backup fails, nothing is deleted and the request shows the reason.
  2. Or click Decline, type why (the customer gets it by email) and click Decline again.

What happens, step by step

Step What happens
The customer asks They type their username under Your data; we email them a confirmation link (48 hours).
They confirm The waiting time starts. They can cancel at any time until it is over.
The wait is over You get an email and the request shows to approve — or, with automatic deletion on, it goes ahead by itself.
Deleted A final backup is kept until the day shown in History, then removed by the panel.

Every step is in the activity log, and the event hooks hear privacy.deletion_requested and privacy.deletion_done.

Exports

Exports appear in History. The panel builds each one within five minutes: a ZIP with the customer's profile, invoices (with each invoice's PDF), support tickets, live chats and activity log, plus a link to their newest full backup when their plan has backup links. The customer gets a download link by email; the file is removed when the link ends.

Rules (administrators)
