Your panel address
Give your customers your own panel, webmail and files addresses with free SSL, and send their emails in your brand.
With your own panel address your customers sign in at, for example, panel.yourbrand.com instead of the server's
address. The server checks the name's DNS, gets a free certificate for it and, once it points here, uses it in every
link and email your customers get — with your brand and sender name.
Where: Reseller Panel › Account › My brand › Your panel address
Note: you need the Own brand and nameservers and Own panel address privileges, and your brand must be switched on (Show my brand to my customers on My brand). Your hosting provider sets the privileges on Reseller privileges.
Set up your addresses
- Enter the Host name, for example
panel.yourbrand.com. - Optionally enter Your website, for example
https://yourbrand.com/: visitors who open the name without the panel's port go there. Empty: they go to the panel. - Optionally enter a Webmail address (
webmail.yourbrand.com) and a Files address (files.yourbrand.com). - Optionally enter a Sender name for your customers' emails (empty: your brand name).
- Click Save address.
- Create the DNS records shown under DNS records at your domain where your domain's DNS is: an A record for each name pointing to the server's IP address, or a CNAME record to the server's own name.
| Field | Rules |
|---|---|
| Host name, Webmail address, Files address | a host name with a dot; not one of the server's own names, not another reseller's, not under a domain of someone else's customer; each a different name |
| Your website | starts with https://; no spaces or quotes |
| Sender name | up to 60 characters |
Your customers then open their Control Panel at https://panel.yourbrand.com:8443/. Webmail and the
File Manager open at their names without a port.
Status and certificates
The Status table checks each name live: DNS shows Points here when the name (or the CNAME it follows) resolves to the server, and SSL shows until when its certificate is valid. Certificates are requested automatically for the names that point here, and again when a check finds one still missing. Click Check now to check at once; the screen also checks again when the last check is older than 15 minutes.
Until the panel address points here, your customers' links and emails keep using the server's address.
What your customers get
| Where | What changes |
|---|---|
| Links and emails | invitations, password links, notifications and other emails point to your panel address |
| Emails | your brand name, colours and logo in the design, and your sender name; the server's name in the text becomes yours |
| Sign-in | the sign-in page shows your brand; passkeys work on your address (passkeys made on another address must be added again there) |
| Team members | your customers' team members sign in at your address too |
The emails are still sent from the server's own sending address, so they pass the receivers' checks; replies go to the server's support address.
Remove the address
Empty the Host name and click Save address. The names stop being served at once and everything goes back to the server's address and brand. The same happens when your brand is switched off or your hosting provider takes a privilege away; your settings are kept for when it is switched on again.
