Apps catalogue
See every app of the App installer with its version and requirements, and hide apps from your customers.
The Apps catalogue lists every app customers can install in one click from the App installer, and lets you hide the ones you don't want to offer.
Where: Server Admin › Hosting › Apps catalogue
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| App | the app and its category |
| Version | the release installed today. Not pinned means its download has no SHA-256 yet, so it can't be installed. |
| Requirements | the PHP or Node.js versions it needs and whether it needs a MySQL database |
| Installs | how many websites on this panel run it |
| Status | Shown or Hidden |
Click Hide to take an app out of the customers' App installer, and Show to offer it again. Hiding an app never touches the websites that already run it: they keep it, and its one-click updates.
Where the apps come from
The catalogue is built into HF Panel (appcatalog.json). For each app it holds the pinned version, the official
download address (and its SHA-256, or the official checksum file next to the download), what the app needs and how it
is installed and updated. Every download is checked before it is used, and runs as the customer's account. Apps
installed with Composer or wp-cli are checked by those tools. Moodle and Ghost are updated by hand following their own
upgrade guides; the others update in one click with a backup first.
