The Control Panel's email tools — mailboxes, forwarders, autoresponders, spam filters, webmail, mail apps, deliverability and mailing lists.
The Email group of the Control Panel holds everything for email on your own domains: mailboxes and forwarders, webmail, the settings for mail apps, and the tools that help your mail reach the inbox.
Where: Control Panel › Email
Note: the Email group is only in the menu when the server runs email.
Getting email going
- Make sure email is on for your domain. It is switched on automatically when you add a domain; you can check on Email accounts › Domains.
- Create a mailbox on Email accounts.
- Read your mail in Webmail, or set up your phone and computer with Set up mail apps.
- Check your domain on Deliverability, so your mail lands in the inbox.
Screens in this group
| Screen | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Email accounts | mailboxes, forwarders and catch-all, autoresponders, spam filters, email on/off per domain |
| Set up mail apps | IMAP, POP3 and SMTP settings, automatic set-up, calendars and contacts |
| Webmail | open your mailboxes in HF Mail without a password |
| Deliverability | check MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC for each domain |
| Mail delivery log | see what happened to each message |
| Mailing lists | newsletters and discussion lists |
Your hosting plan decides how many mailboxes you can have, and can leave out forwarders, autoresponders and spam filters.
